(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BolDFhzhFi8\/\">File Photo: @mainedcm\/Instagram)<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Kapuso celebrity Maine Mendoza launched her own fundraising campaign to help daily wage earners whose livelihoods were affected by the enhanced community quarantine that was implemented in Luzon due to the growing threat of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the country.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Eat Bulaga <\/em>host posted a link with details of the fundraising titled, \u201cDoNation Drive\u201d, on her Twitter account and invited the netizens to contribute and support the campaign.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGiven the difficult situation we are all facing, I thought of starting the DoNation drive today. This is to help the employees who are not allowed to work because of the community lockdown,\u201d said the celebrity\u2019s post.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Hi everyone! Consider yourself blessed, if despite all, you can purchase food and sanitation supplies (even hoard!) for your homes. But what about those workers who live on a day-to-day basis? Now that they are obliged not to go to work, how can they survive?\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>Mendoza said that for every household that she can help, she will give them P1,000 for their groceries and other essentials.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis also leads me to the realization that we can all help, in our own little ways, to at least make things easier to those who need it the most,\u201d Mendoza said while urging those who can help to share their spare money for the campaign. \u201cOur share, no matter how big or small, will go a long way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Those who are in need of assistance may reach Mendoza through the campaign\u2019s email <em>DoNation.drive@yahoo.com <\/em>attached with proof of employment and mobile number<\/p>\n<p>The transaction will be through the G-Cash app and those who wish to donate may send their donations to 09563890291.<\/p>\n<p>Mendoza assures that she will \u201cpersonally facilitate all the donations\u201d and said that she will \u201cTRY my best to accommodate as many people as I can.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The actress also warned those who take advantage of the campaign by posing as another celebrity and changing the number of the fundraising to their own personal numbers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlease don\u2019t fall for any fraudulent schemes by people posing as celebrities\/public figures.\u00a0Always double check<strong>.<\/strong>\u00a0And don\u2019t believe any information about the DoNation drive unless it comes from\u00a0ME.
