(File <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/frankdrilon\/photos\/a.280406399513\/10155127478699514\/?type=3&amp;theater\">photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/frankdrilon\/\">Franklin Drilon\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon on Wednesday said money-laundering issues associated with the rise of Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs) could only be solved with the closure of the POGO industry in the country.<\/p>\n<p>In a radio interview, Drilon said the proliferation of POGOs has made it possible for organized syndicates to make the country as a \u201claundry shop\u201d for their dirty money.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Ginagawa tayong labandera. Our banking system, the financial system in general, is being used as a washing machine, where dirty money coming from every part of the globe is brought in, placed in casinos, banks or anywhere, and come out clean),&#8221; Drilon said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Sa akin po, hindi ba nag-umpisa ito lahat ng magtayo ng<\/em>\u00a0POGOs<em>\u00a0sa ating bansa<\/em>\u00a0(For me, isn\u2019t it that this started when POGOS were established in the country)? For me, the solution is we stop POGO.
