Anak Ni Biday<\/strong>.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The much-awaited reimagining of the classic film is headlined by two of the Network\u2019s brightest stars \u2013 Kapuso Primetime Princess\u00a0<strong>Barbie Forteza<\/strong>\u00a0as\u00a0<em>Ginalyn\u00a0<\/em>and promising young Kapuso actress\u00a0<strong>Kate Valdez<\/strong>\u00a0as\u00a0<em>Caitlyn.\u00a0<\/em>The drama also highlights famous tourist destinations from the provinces of Leyte and Ilocos namely the iconic San Juanico Bridge and the thrilling Paoay Sand Dunes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Barbie shares that she took classes to learn the Waray dialect but what she mostly enjoyed was immersing herself into their culture,<em>\u00a0\u201cTinuro sa amin how they live, kung papaano sila magtrabaho para sa family nila. Nakakatuwa kasi parehas na may strong personality ang mga taga-Leyte at Ilocos. Ang sarap gampanan ng role ko kasi very empowering siya especially sa mga kababaihan. Kilala ang mga Waray na palaban at hindi papatalo.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kate says she\u2019s happy to be working with Barbie for the first time in this soap, \u201cActually noong workshop pa\u00a0 lang, sobrang ramdam ko na very warm si Barbie. Naramdaman ko \u2018yung care niya sa akin as an ate. Kaya excited ako na maka-work ko pa siya sa maraming eksena.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The drama also introduces the exciting reunion of seasoned actresses\u00a0<strong>Ms. Snooky Serna<\/strong>\u00a0as\u00a0<em>Amy<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Ms.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Dina Bonnevie\u00a0<\/strong>as\u00a0<em>Sussie<\/em>\u00a0in their most colorful roles yet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Snooky, who portrayed the role of Biday\u2019s daughter in the original film, shares what makes this TV adaptation unique from the movie,\u00a0<em>\u201c\u2018Yung version namin ngayon, they put a little bit more of drama in it. It\u2019s not a complete copy of the original story. They give it a different twist altogether so we have a different story. Ang pareha lang ay sina Waray at Biday, perennially mortal enemies talaga sila.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dina, who has no trouble speaking Ilocano after marrying a native, reveals why she opted to accept the role of Biday,\u00a0<em>\u201cAfter a long time, Snooky and I will be working together again. I really welcomed it because I haven\u2019t done comedy in a long time. Young Amy works for young Sussie\u2019s rich Ilocano family based in Manila in exchange for the latter\u2019s family funding her school expenses. Their inseparable bond is jeopardized when the dashing young\u00a0<em>Joaquin<\/em>\u00a0(Jason Abalos) captures the hearts of both women. After finding out that they have fallen in love with the same man, young Amy and young Sussie\u2019s lovely friendship is now in shambles and to make it worse \u2013 the two are bearing young Joaquin\u2019s children.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Years passed, Amy\u2019s (Snooky Serna) daughter\u00a0<em>Ginalyn\u00a0<\/em>(Barbie Forteza) grows up into a diligent and optimistic woman who juggles their Binagol business and her tour guide duties.
