KING RODRIGUEZ\/PRESIDENTIAL PHOTO<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0&#8212; The accomplishments of President Rodrigo Duterte\u2019s administration during his three years in office is \u201cfar better\u201d than his predecessors, Malaca\u00f1ang said on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said the current administration is trumpeting its feats halfway through Duterte\u2019s six-year term because it was proud of the President\u2019s legacy as the country\u2019s chief executive.<\/p>\n<p>Panelo\u2019s statement came after Senator Panfilo Lacson said it was \u201ctoo early\u201d to flaunt the Duterte administration\u2019s achievements.<\/p>\n<p>Duterte\u2019s spokesperson, however, believed otherwise.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cHindi totoo \u2018yun<\/em>\u00a0(That\u2019s not true),\u201d the Palace official said in an interview with dzIQ, when asked if it is premature to present the government\u2019s accomplishments under Duterte\u2019s leadership.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cKaya nga pinangangalandakan \u2018yun kasi nga kakaiba \u2018yung<\/em>\u00a0accomplishments\u00a0<em>na nagawa ni Presidente<\/em>\u00a0in three years\u2019 time\u00a0<em>kung iko<\/em>-compare\u00a0<em>mo sa mga<\/em>\u00a0(nakaraang) administration (It\u2019s being trumpeted because the President\u2019s accomplishments in three years\u2019 time are exemplary compared to the past administrations\u2019 achievements),\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) launched the \u201cDuterte Legacy\u201d campaign that touts the successes, gains and even the sacrifices of the present administration to improve the lives of the Filipino people.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign focuses on the Duterte administration\u2019s progress in three pillars, namely peace and order, infrastructure development, and poverty alleviation.<\/p>\n<p>The government\u2019s legacies on education, infrastructure, health, labor, freedom of information, press freedom and media protection, peace and order, and environmental protection were highlighted during the campaign launch.<\/p>\n<p>Various narratives from beneficiaries of the administration\u2019s landmark projects were also presented during the launching of the \u201cDuterte Legacy\u201d campaign.<\/p>\n<p>A magazine, podcast, and a documentary featuring the government\u2019s priority policies and programs were also unveiled.<\/p>\n<p>Panelo said the President remains focused on bringing peace and development to the entire country.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cNaka<\/em>-focus\u00a0<em>siya sa pagpapaunlad ng bayan at gawing mapayapa ang ating kapaligiran at paunlarin natin ang bawat buhay ng ating mga mamamayan<\/em>\u00a0(He\u2019s focused on developing the country, bringing peace to communities, and improving the lives of the people),\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>During the launch of the \u201cDuterte Legacy\u201d campaign, PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar bragged that the President has been able to fulfill his promises \u201cwith great resolve and confidence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, meantime, was elated that Filipinos appreciate the Chief Executive\u2019s resolve to bring \u201cpositive\u201d and \u201creal\u201d changes to the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MANILA\u00a0&#8212;
