We are not expecting P1 billion [in terms of gross sales] <em>pero at least kalahati <\/em>(but at least half or)\u00a0P500 million. It will really help the industry <em>ng pelikulang Pilipino<\/em> (of Filipino films).<em>\u00a0&#8216;Yun naman ang<\/em> purpose<em> natin sa talaga sa<\/em> (That is really the purpose of) MMFF, to help the industry,\u201d said MMDA general manager Jojo Garcia.<\/p>\n<p>The MMFF committee will also accept finished film entries for the full-length category until February 15.<\/p>\n<p>The 11-day period summer film festival will also hold a Parade of Stars on April 5 and an awards night on April 15.<\/p>\n<p>The second film festival, dubbed as the Metro Manila Summer Film Festival, was proposed by new executive committee member Senator Bong Go and will be held twice annually starting the year 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The executive committee of the previous 45<sup>th<\/sup> film festival held last December announced that it has reached a total of P995 million in ticket sales which are mostly from the eight entries, \u201cMiracle in Cell No. 7 (Viva Films),\u201d \u201cMission Unstapabol: The Don Identity (APT Entertainment),\u201d \u201cThe Mall, the Merrier (Star Cinema and Viva Films),\u201d and \u201c3pol Trobol: Huli Ka Balbon!
