(Facebook photo from Johanne Bernice Guirgen Wong via PNA)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0&#8212; A five-year-old boy who is battling leukemia received an early Christmas present from no less than President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Duterte greeted cancer-stricken Jacob Wong with a warm smile, as soon as he saw the latter waiting for him at the living area of the President\u2019s home in Davao City, based on a video uploaded on Facebook by the child\u2019s mother, Johanne Bernice.<\/p>\n<p>The President sat beside Jacob on a long, brown couch and gave him a fatherly hug.<\/p>\n<p>Duterte also kissed the child on the forehead twice, a sweet gesture from the President that is rarely shared\u00a0with the public.<\/p>\n<p>He likewise gifted Jacob with two miniature motorbikes, a \u201cDU30\u201d cap, and the President\u2019s framed caricature.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Mabait talaga ang Diyos<\/em>\u00a0(God is really good),\u201d the President said in a live video streaming shared by Jacob\u2019s father whose Facebook account name is Rrjw.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will do anything for a child,\u201d Duterte added.<\/p>\n<p>Photos from Johanne also showed Duterte flashing his signature pose with Jacob.<\/p>\n<p>In a Facebook post, Jacob\u2019s mom thanked the President for making her son happy.<\/p>\n<p>Johanne also posted a video of a euphoric Jacob who was seen dancing after meeting Duterte.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt&#8217;s so past his bedtime, but this Duterte fever hit him hard,\u201d she said. \u201cChristmas came early this year. Thank you so much, Mr. President, for welcoming us in your humble home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the Facebook page \u201cJacob\u2019s Faithful God\u201d, the child\u2019s family learned that he has leukemia when he had a high fever and severe leg and hip pain last September 9.<\/p>\n<p>The President has a big heart for children who are diagnosed with cancer.
