He was 41.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are extremely saddened and heartbroken by the sudden passing of our beloved brother, Miko Palanca. The whole family is grateful for the incredible outpour of love and support that has been coming in today,&#8221; Erica, Palanca\u2019s sister, said in a statement posted on her Instagram story.<\/p>\n<p>The actor\u2019s family requested privacy and no further details about the actor\u2019s death were announced as of writing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs of now, we would like to respectfully request for privacy as we go through this very difficult time. Again, we appreciate all the love and support \u2014 thank you so much,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>In another Instagram story, Erica posted a personal message to her late brother along with a black and white picture of them together.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I love you. Didn&#8217;t say it enough, but I did. I do. So much. I&#8217;m so glad I got to tell you how much I looked up to you growing up. Thank you, kuya,&#8221; she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>One of the actor&#8217;s brothers, Martin Hocson, also posted a message on his Instagram story mourning his brother\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlready missing you, Kuya. Wish you didn\u2019t go so soon. Rest easy now. I love you,\u201d the post read.<\/p>\n<p>Condolences also poured out on social media after the actor\u2019s death. On Monday, the Film Academy of the Philippines also gave their condolences to Palanca\u2019s sudden passing through a post on their official Facebook page.<\/p>\n<p>Palanca was first known through the weekly teen-oriented show <em>Tabing Ilog. <\/em>He also appeared in <em>Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay<\/em> (2002), It Might Be You (2003) with Bea Alonzo, along with his recent starring in the television series<em> Bagani, Ang Probinsyano <\/em>and <em>Nang Ngumiti And Langit.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The family of Mico Palanca on Tuesday, December 10, in a statement, said that the actor passed away.
