(File <a href=\"https:\/\/commons.wikimedia.org\/w\/index.php?curid=21193335\">Photo By Mello47\/Wikimedia commons, CC BY-SA 3.0<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 President Rodrigo Duterte on Saturday called on Filipinos to be inspired by revolutionary hero Andres Bonifacio\u2019 patriotism and selflessness.<\/p>\n<p>The Chief Executive made the call as he joined the entire nation in celebrating the 156th birth anniversary of Bonifacio who is branded as the \u201cFather of the Philippine Revolution.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In his message, Duterte hailed Bonifacio\u2019s \u201ccourage and selflessness\u201d to make the Philippines an \u201cindependent and vibrant nation that advances ever forward to the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday is an auspicious occasion to reflect on Andres Bonifacio&#8217;s legacy of awakening the Filipino consciousness to fight for our freedom and build an entire nation.
