MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0— President Rodrigo Duterte spewed harsh words against Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo for \u201calways talking\u201d with foreign personalities and institutions who have prejudged his administration\u2019s campaign on illegal drugs instead of providing ways to improve it.<\/p>\n

Duterte made this remark four days after firing Robredo as co-chair of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD) over alleged \u201cmissteps\u201d she committed.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe made an asshole of herself. Always talking.\u00a0Ang ayaw ko dun<\/em>\u00a0(What I don\u2019t like about it is) the first thing she did was to go to the embassy of the United States of America, then to the UN (United Nations) then to the EU (European Union),\u201d Duterte said in a media interview in Malaca\u00f1ang on Thursday night.<\/p>\n

Duterte said that instead of talking to people directly involved in the anti-narcotics drive, the sacked drug czar preferred to meet with foreigners who relied on the opposition\u2019s false information on the drug war.<\/p>\n

\u201cInstead of talking to the law enforcement, instead of talking to the barangay captains, instead of talking to\u00a0itong mga taong<\/em>\u00a0(people) handling the rehabilitation,\u00a0sabi ko<\/em>\u00a0(I said) she made an asshole of herself. I will talk to the…\u00a0kung sinu-sino<\/em>\u00a0(whoever),\u201d Duterte said.<\/p>\n

He admitted that although he had no information that Robredo invited former Human Rights Watch director for Asia Phelim Kline to meet, he found it peculiar how Kline offered help by even flying to the Philippines.<\/p>\n

\u201cDineny niya ang<\/em>\u00a0prosecutor.\u00a0Pero bakit nag-<\/em>tweet\u00a0na<\/em>\u00a0(She denied that she invited the prosecutor. But why did he tweet) \u2018I\u2019m packed, I\u2019m ready to go and arrest Duterte,\u201d Duterte said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Duterte dared Robredo to bare her findings on the drug war.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou seem to be threatening\u00a0na may<\/em>\u00a0information\u00a0ka, ilabas mo<\/em>\u00a0(that you have information, release it),\u201d Duterte said.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo insinuated that Robredo is \u201cfabricating\u201d her findings on the drug war because it took her too long to release them.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy is she taking so long?\u00a0Dahil ba kasi may nagpe-<\/em>prepare\u00a0na iba sa kanya? Ano ‘yung<\/em>\u00a0report\u00a0na \u2018yun? Kasi kung may natuklasan ka agad e di<\/em>\u00a0immediately,\u00a0palagi naman siya nagpe-<\/em>presscon,\u00a0di sinabi niya na sana<\/em>\u00a0(Is it because somebody else is preparing it for her? What report is that? Because if you discover something, you would immediately call for a presscon, you would have bared it by now),\u201d Panelo said.<\/p>\n

\u201cKung totoong meron, bakit di niya inilabas noon pa? Dahil ba meron silang ginagawang multong nililikha nila<\/em>\u00a0(If there really are irregularities, why didn\u2019t she release them before? Is it because she\u2019s cooking up something)?\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Duterte appointed Robredo as anti-drug czar on October 31 to provide new ideas on how to put a stop to the country\u2019s drug problem.<\/p>\n
