Photo courtesy of PNR Facebook page.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MANILA &#8212; The Philippine National Railways (PNR) train, which was derailed in Sta. Mesa, Manila on Monday morning has resumed normal operations before noontime.<\/p>\n<p>To recall, the PNR train was travelling between Espana and Sta. Mesa stations when one of its coaches derailed at 9:21 a.m., according to radio reports.<\/p>\n<p>None of its passengers were injured.<\/p>\n<p>Over an hour later, the PNR management confirmed that normal operations resumed at 10:50 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Management did not mention the cause of the derailment, however, they continue to investigate on the incident.<\/p>\n<p>The derailing of the PNR happened two weeks after the derailing of a Metro Rail Transit (MRT) 3 train in Taft Avenue Station in EDSA, Pasay City last Aug 13.<\/p>\n<p>Probe results showed that the cause of the MRT-3 derailment was due to human error since it was discovered that standard coupling procedures were not followed by train drivers and control center personnel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MANILA &#8212; The Philippine National Railways (PNR) train, which was derailed in Sta.
