Nakakasakay naman tayo lahat<\/em>\u00a0(What do they mean my transportation crisis? What I see is traffic not transportation crisis. We have transportation. People can still get rides),\u201d Panelo said in a Palace briefing.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cMukha namang wala pa kasi nga makakarating pa naman \u2018yung mga dapat makarating sa kanilang pupuntah<\/em>an (I don\u2019t think there is, because people can still reach their destinations),\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Panelo said compared to the previous administration, \u201cbig improvements\u201d have been made in the country\u2019s train systems and glitches have lessened.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cNabasa ko \u2018yung paliwanag, dati-dati daw halos araw-araw nagba-<\/em>bog down.\u00a0<em>Ngayon daw<\/em>\u00a0once a week\u00a0<em>na lang<\/em>. So,\u00a0<em>ang laki daw ng<\/em>\u00a0improvement (I read an explanation, before the trains bog down almost every day. You change the mean of transportation itself or if there is a problem on the operation with respect to its spare parts,\u00a0<em>hindi rin problema \u2018yun; madali ring gawan ng paraan<\/em>\u00a0(that\u2019s not a problem; it\u2019s easy to find a solution),\u201d Panelo added.<\/p>\n<p>Panelo said transport authorities should take the blame if they cannot properly maintain the country\u2019s train systems.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI cannot understand why they cannot do that. If they cannot do that, then there\u2019s something wrong with management,\u201d Panelo said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Panelo said it is the call of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFB) whether or not to expedite the release of franchises and routes for the modernization of jeepneys.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere must be a reason why there is a delay,\u00a0<em>kung may<\/em>\u00a0(if there is a) delay man.
