(Pexels Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Saskatchewan held two draws through the Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand immigration sub-categories issuing a total of 150 invitations.<span id=\"more-12657\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/sinp-international-skilled-worker-category.html#InternationalSkilledWorker-SaskatchewanExpressEntry\">Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program<\/a>\u00a0(SINP) uses a unique Expression of Interest (EOI) points grid to rank candidates in its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/sinp-international-skilled-worker-category.html#InternationalSkilledWorker-SaskatchewanExpressEntry\">Saskatchewan Express Entry<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/sinp-international-skilled-worker-category.html#OccupationIn-Demand\">Occupations In-Demand<\/a>\u00a0sub-categories.<\/p>\n<p>The break down for Saskatchewan\u2019s August 15 provincial nomination draws are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>45 Express Entry<\/li>\n<li>105 Occupations In-Demand<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Candidates had to have a minimum\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/saskatchewan-expression-of-interest-eoi-points-calculator.html\">Saskatchewan Expression of Interest<\/a>\u00a0score of 78.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates receive a score out of 100 based on factors including their education, skilled work experience, proficiency in English or French and connections to Saskatchewan. The highest-scoring candidates in both sub-categories are then invited through regular draws from the pool.<\/p>\n<h2>Express Entry<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/sinp-international-skilled-worker-category.html#InternationalSkilledWorker-SaskatchewanExpressEntry\">Saskatchewan\u2019s Express Entry<\/a>\u00a0stream is linked to the federal\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry.html\">Express Entry system<\/a>. Candidates who are already in the Express Entry pool and who meet the requirements to succeed in Saskatchewan may be selected for a provincial nomination.<\/p>\n<p>Express Entry candidates with a provincial nomination receive an additional 600 points toward their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry-comprehensive-ranking-system.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Comprehensive Ranking System<\/a>\u00a0(CRS) score. Given that most federal draws require CRS scores over 400, a provincial nomination practically guarantees an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence.<\/p>\n<h2>Occupations In-Demand<\/h2>\n<p>Candidates eligible for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/sinp-international-skilled-worker-category.html#OccupationIn-Demand\">Occupation In-Demand<\/a>\u00a0sub-category who receive a provincial nomination have their applications for Canadian permanent residence processed outside the Express Entry system.<\/p>\n<p>Though a job offer is not required for this sub-category, a key eligibility requirement for both the Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand sub-categories is to have experience in one of the 19 occupations currently\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/sinp-international-skilled-worker-category.html#SINP-in-demand-list\">listed as in-demand in Saskatchewan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The SINP has issued 1,789 invitations through its Occupation In-Demand sub-category, and 1,315 through its Express Entry sub-category so far in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The number of invitations issued in the August 15 draw (150) shows a marked decrease from the previous draw on July 24, which saw 381 invitations issued.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a9 2019 CIC News All Rights Reserved<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Saskatchewan held two draws through the Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand immigration sub-categories issuing a total of 150 invitations.
