MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0— The Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) already has possession of documents proving anomalies within the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), PCSO board member Sandra Cam said on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Cam made this remark after PACC commissioner Greco Belgica bared that the commission will be including her and all other PCSO board members and officials in its lifestyle check and investigation.<\/p>\n

\u201cPACC Commissioner Greco Belgica already has in his possession all the documents to prove corruption in Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office(PCSO) since May 2019,\u201d Cam said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Cam explained that Duterte asked for the documents himself when they met in Tokyo, Japan last May during the President\u2019s official visit.<\/p>\n

She said she handed the documents to Senator Christopher \u201cBong\u201d Go, who himself turned them over to Belgica.<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Duterte and I met in Tokyo. He asked me for proof. I then gave him the documents that proved that there is corruption in PCSO,\u201d Cam said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe then asked me to hand over these documents to Sen. Bong Go and the latter gave these documents to Commissioner Belgica who is in charge of the investigation\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Cam said she is also ready to bare more details about corruption in PCSO in a Senate or House inquiry.<\/p>\n

She earlier said she possessed documents, which could prove that officials, including retired military generals, were involved in corruption at the PCSO.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, Belgica said Cam is allowed to submit her evidence to the PACC, noting that she was the first to call out corruption in PCSO.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe will be allowed to submit the (pieces of) evidence to us, to the President, to the Ombudsman and we will welcome that,\u201d Belgica said in a Palace briefing.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, we are interested to hear what she has, not to take it as the truth, but to investigate and allow it to go into the process,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

President Rodrigo Duterte ordered the stoppage of all gaming operations under the PCSO on July 26 over alleged \u201cmassive corruption\u201d within the agency.<\/p>\n

On July 30, Duterte lifted the suspension of PCSO lotto operations but other gaming operations such as small town lottery (STL), Keno, and Peryahan ng Bayan remain suspended pending investigation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
