(PNA File Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0&#8212; Malaca\u00f1ang on Tuesday advised Filipinos to avoid traveling to Hong Kong for now following flight cancellations in its main airport due to anti-government protests.<\/p>\n<p>Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said reports on flight cancellations should serve as basis that it is not the right time to visit Hong Kong.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cYung<\/em>\u00a0travel ban siguro with respect to\u00a0<em>kung gusto mo pumunta ngayon sa<\/em>\u00a0Hong Kong (Perhaps the travel ban, with respect to if you want to go to Hong Kong), this is not the right time to go there\u00a0<em>kasi yung<\/em>\u00a0flight\u00a0<em>mo biglang naka-cancel di ba<\/em>\u00a0(because your flight might be canceled),\u201d Panelo said in a Palace briefing.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cE di<\/em>\u00a0avoid\u00a0<em>muna<\/em>\u00a0(for now) going there, that\u2019s the advice.\u00a0<em>Kasi<\/em>(Because) you\u2019re not sure whether you\u2019re going to reach Hong Kong in the first place,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the unrest, Panelo said the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has not issued a deployment ban of Filipino workers there.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cSabi ni ano hindi muna e, sabi ni<\/em>\u00a0Secretary Bello (Secretary Bello said that there won\u2019t be a deployment ban for the meantime),\u201d Panelo said.<\/p>\n<p>The Palace spokesperson said since the protest is \u201climited\u201d to the airport, the DOLE will continue to monitor the situation in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cNagkakagulo sa<\/em>\u00a0airport. Airport\u00a0<em>lang naman<\/em>. Limited\u00a0<em>naman ang gulo sa<\/em>\u00a0airport<em>\u00a0e<\/em>\u00a0(There are protests in the airport. But that\u2019s just in the airport.
