(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/PresSpokespersonPH\/photos\/a.397841807217544\/750918231909898\/?type=3&amp;amp;theater\">File Photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/PresSpokespersonPH\/\">Office of the Presidential Spokesperson\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0&#8212; Malaca\u00f1ang on Tuesday expressed concern over a Britain-based watchdog\u2019s report which showed that the Philippines is the most dangerous place for land and environmental activists.<\/p>\n<p>In its report, Global Witness saw 30 murders of people who defended their homes, lands and natural resources from exploitation in the Philippines in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe government will always be concerned with respect to any violence inflicted against the citizens of this country, whether done by outside forces or by those inside this country,\u201d Panelo said in a Palace briefing.<\/p>\n<p>Panelo, however, acknowledged how killings took place due to conflicts among claimants of particular lands.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, that happens.
