She was 35 years old.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">MOR 101.9 gave tribute to one of its disc jockeys on a Facebook post, sharing a black and white photo of Jasmin along with a short caption, <i>&#8220;Salamat<\/i> Jasmin. <i>Mahal ka namin <\/i>(Thank you, Jasmin. We love you)<i>.&#8221; <\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">It also released a video tribute to Jasmin containing her photos and the fun moments she shared with her co-DJs. Netizens, meanwhile, expressed their heartfelt condolences on the posts&#8217; comment section, with some of them saying they will miss hearing Jasmin&#8217;s voice on-air.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Jasmin was known for her radio program &#8220;Dear Jasmin,&#8221; and later &#8220;Dear MOR,&#8221; where she gave &#8220;relate-much&#8221; pieces of advice to her listeners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Her colleagues DJ Chacha and DJ Popoy also remembered Jasmin on their Facebook pages.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Sharing photos of her happy moments with Jasmin, DJ Chacha said she wanted to remember her colleague as a &#8216;happy and strong&#8217; person.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>&#8220;Habang buhay kong ipagpapasalamat na nagkaroon ako ng pagkakataon makatrabaho ka<\/i> <i>mars. Mamimiss naming lahat ang mga ngiti mo ang halakhak mo, ang mga hugot mo sa radyo <\/i>(I will be forever grateful that I was given a chance to work with you, Mars. I will miss all your smiles, laughter, and <i>hugots <\/i>on radio)<i>,&#8221;<\/i> she wrote.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">For his part, DJ Popoy, Jasmin&#8217;s partner in &#8220;Dear MOR,&#8221; said he will miss the stories, the jokes, and the advice they shared to each other.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8220;Baby girl Jasmin Balong, Jr, the Turd. <i>Mami-<\/i>miss <i>kita Manang<\/i> Jasmin <i>ko <\/i>(I will miss you, my Manang Jasmin)<i>,&#8221;<\/i> he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>&#8220;Tunay kang kaibigan <\/i>Jasmin. <i>Magpahinga ka na. Gabayan mo kami <\/i>(You are a true friend, Jasmin. Go and rest. Guide us)<i>.<\/i> Goodbye partner.\u00a0I love you!&#8221; he continued.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Jasmin, a Mass Communication graduate from Far Eastern University (FEU), began her career as a writer for television before she started her radio stint in 2009. It was in 2018 when the DJ told her listeners about her illness.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Jasmin is survived by her parents and four siblings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Salamat, Jasmin.
