MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0— The Senate on Tuesday approved the first round of committee chairmanships for the 18th Congress.<\/p>\n

A day after the opening of the first regular session of the 18th Congress, Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri moved for the election of the chairpersons for 20 Senate committees.<\/p>\n

The committee chairmanships were approved during the plenary session presided over by Senate President Vicente Sotto III.<\/p>\n

Here is the list of committees and chairpersons for the 18th Congress:<\/p>\n

Agriculture and Food – Senator Cynthia Villar<\/p>\n

Blue Ribbon – Senator Richard Gordon<\/p>\n

Constitutional Amendments and Revision of Codes – Senator Francis Pangilinan<\/p>\n

Economic Affairs – Senator Imee Marcos<\/p>\n

Energy – Senator Sherwin Gatchalian<\/p>\n

Finance – Senator Sonny Angara<\/p>\n

Foreign Relations – Senator Aquilino Pimentel III<\/p>\n

Games and Amusement – Senator Lito Lapid<\/p>\n

Health and Demography – Senator Christopher Go<\/p>\n

Labor, Employment & Human Resources Development – Senator Joel Villanueva<\/p>\n
