Castaneda Jr. ordered the Commissioner of Internal Revenue to &#8220;refund or issue a tax credit certificate&#8221; in favor of San Miguel &#8220;for the erroneously, excessively and or illegally collected excise taxes on its San Mig Light and other beer products in bottles and cans for the taxable year 2015.&#8221; (<a href=\"https:\/\/commons.wikimedia.org\/w\/index.php?curid=18376896\">File Photo By Ramon FVelasquez\/Wikimedia, CC BY-SA 3.0<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>&#8211;The Court of Tax Appeals (CTA) has granted a tax refund\/credit of PHP44.48 million to San Miguel Brewery Inc. over excise taxes imposed on its beer products collected four years ago.<\/p>\n<p>In a 25-page decision dated June 13, the CTA&#8217;s Special Second Division through Associate Justice Juanito C. Castaneda Jr. ordered the Commissioner of Internal Revenue to &#8220;refund or issue a tax credit certificate&#8221; in favor of San Miguel &#8220;for the erroneously, excessively and or illegally collected excise taxes on its San Mig Light and other beer products in bottles and cans for the taxable year 2015.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Associate Justice Catherine T.
