The two were recently seen exchanging opinions on politics, death penalty, and a controversial slapping incident that Bautista was involved in during last Monday’s episode of Aquino and Abunda Tonight.

Bautista was in the hot seat following the said issue that he was involved in. He explained the reason why he lost his cool and slapped a suspected drug pusher last Friday, and apologized for what he has done. The incident was caught on video and became viral.

“I apologize to the public, (Commission on Human Rights) Chairperson Etta Rosales, and especially to the youth. Di ‘ata tama kung magiging leader sila in the future, tapos sasabihin nila, ‘Bakit si Mayor Bistek, no’ng leader siya ginagawa niya ‘to? (It is not right that when they [youths] become leaders in the future they will say, ‘Why was Mayor Bistek able to do this when he was still a leader?’),” said Bautista.

He added, “By nature, kasi hindi ako nananakit ng tao. Physically, hindi ako nananakit.” To which Aquino quipped, “Hindi nananakit si Mayor… damdamin lang. Chos! (Mayor doesn’t hurt, only feelings.).”

It can be recalled that in April, the presidential sister claimed that she and Bautista were going out. However in June, Bautista came clean and admitted that their relationship did not work because he deeply cares and loves his children.

Aquino confessed she was hurt after the Mayor’s public confession. She expressed her side through a public statement shared in the same month. Aquino said that “true love graciously lets go,” and hoped that she could continue her friendship with the Mayor.

Last Monday’s interview showed Aquino in good terms with Bautista. She also repeatedly claimed that they are now mere friends.

MANILA — Seems like ex-lovers Kris Aquino and Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista have no more ill feelings for each …

[46
1825,5849
post-21864","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-entertainment-ph","tag-herbert-bautista","tag-kris","mauthors-lei-fontamillas","mauthors-philippine-canadian-inquirer
["GET
