Twenty-four-year-old Filipino-American Kalei Mau, originally from Kahaluu, Hawai, will be seeing action for the F2 Logistics in the upcoming Philippine Superliga (PSL) All-Filipino Conference as her former team, United Volleyball Club (UVC), is reportedly falling apart.<\/span><\/p>\n

In preparation for the opening of the new conference at the Flying V Filoil Arena in San Juan on Saturday, June 15, the athlete posted on her Instagram, \u201cI am happy to announce that I am officially a member of F2 Logistics Cargo Movers. New chapter, same goal. Thank you for all the support.\u201d In reaction to her new team, Mau added, \u201cI wanted a team with a good coach, system and strong team that could help me improve, so I\u2019m at my best to represent the country.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Mau will be joining the likes of Aby Marano, Ara Galang, Majoy Baron, Dawn Macandili, Kim Fajardo, and Kianna Dy to strengthen the Coach Ramil de Jesus-led squad.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Prior to her announcement, Mau took to Twitter to tell sports fans, \u201cNothing but love for the Philippines. Thank you everyone for being supportive of me. With all the rumors and questions going around I just ask for you all to stay patient. And know that whatever happens, I am still a proud National team member,\u201d referring to the anticipation on whether she will still continue to play for the national league.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reports say that former Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) Lady Eagle Amy Ahomorino will be moving from UVC to F2 Logistics as well. In response to that, the Cargo Movers\u2019 Team Manager Santi Edralin explains, \u201cWe haven’t signed anything because we’re still in the process of ironing some kinks with her previous club. And besides, we already have a 14-woman roster, so we’re still mulling our next move.”<\/span><\/p>\n

During her stint with UVC last conference, Mau averaged 18.27 points per game.<\/span><\/p>\n

A total of eight teams will be participating in the PSL All-Filipino Conference if the absence of UVC pushes through.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
