{"id":216102,"date":"2019-05-26T22:13:10","date_gmt":"2019-05-27T02:13:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/?p=216102"},"modified":"2019-05-26T22:13:10","modified_gmt":"2019-05-27T02:13:10","slug":"youth-volunteers-help-raise-awareness-on-climate-change","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/2019\/05\/26\/youth-volunteers-help-raise-awareness-on-climate-change\/","title":{"rendered":"Youth volunteers help raise awareness on climate change"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FMAPPIlocosNorte%2Fposts%2F619223498543959&amp;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"795\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><strong>LAOAG CITY<\/strong>\u00a0&#8212; Students and youth volunteers from different parts of the province gathered on Friday at the Taoid museum to help raise awareness about climate change and how they can mitigate its impact.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">On the same day, organizers led by the Movement Against Plastic Pollution, in partnership with SwitchPH and with the support from the provincial government of Ilocos Norte and Sangguniang Kabataan, joined a silent protest at the Aurora Park this city to express their concern to protect the environment.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">While holding banners and placards about climate change, around 53 volunteers joined 14 other areas in the Philippines who participated in the second International Youth Strike for Climate.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cClimate change is a global emergency.
