23.\u00a0<span id=\"more-12320\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Of the 196 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) issued, 119 went to candidates in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/manitoba-skilled-worker-immigration-stream.html?_ga=2.165190271.1371015348.1558448273-806715713.1510089659#SkilledWorkerinManitobaCategory\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream<\/a>, 60 went to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/manitoba-skilled-worker-immigration-stream.html#SkilledWorkerOverseasCategory\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Skilled Workers Overseas<\/a>candidates and 17 were issued through the \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/manitoba-international-education-stream.html?_ga=2.232412767.1371015348.1558448273-806715713.1510089659\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">International Education Stream<\/a>\u00a0to international graduates of Manitoba post-secondary institutions.<\/p>\n<p>The invitations bring the total issued to skilled worker candidates in 2019 to 4,320.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/manitoba-provincial-nominee-program.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program<\/a>\u00a0(MPNP) allows Manitoba to nominate immigration candidates with skills required by employers in the province and the ability to settle quickly and establish themselves economically.<\/p>\n<p>The MPNP is one of Canada\u2019s most active and successful provincial nominee programs and has helped more than 130,000 newcomers settle in Manitoba since its creation in 1998.<\/p>\n<h3>Express Entry candidates invited<\/h3>\n<p>Manitoba said 27 LAAs issued in the May 23 draw went to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Express Entry<\/a>\u00a0candidates with a job seeker validation code and experience in an occupation on Manitoba\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/manitoba-skilled-worker-immigration-stream.html#indemand\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">In-Demand Occupations List<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The federal Express Entry system manages the pool of candidates for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/federal-skilled-worker-program-fswp.html\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Federal Skilled Worker Class<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canada-federal-skilled-trades-program-fstc.html\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Federal Skilled Trades Class<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canadian-experience-class.html\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Canadian Experience Class<\/a>, which are three of Canada\u2019s main economic immigration programs.<\/p>\n<p>Express Entry candidates who obtain a provincial nomination receive an additional 600 points toward their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry-comprehensive-ranking-system.html?_ga=2.226721501.1371015348.1558448273-806715713.1510089659\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Comprehensive Ranking System<\/a>\u00a0(CRS) score.<\/p>\n<p>The Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream is open to eligible temporary foreign workers and international student graduates who are currently working in Manitoba and have been offered a permanent, full-time job with their Manitoba employer.<\/p>\n<p>The Skilled Workers Overseas Stream lets the MPNP nominate eligible immigration candidates living outside Canada who have an established connection to Manitoba such as the support of family members or friends, previous education or work experience in the province or an invitation under one of the MPNP\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.immigratemanitoba.com\/category\/mpnp-notices\/strategic-initiatives\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Strategic Recruitment Initiatives<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>All 60 Skilled Workers Overseas candidates who were issued invitations in the May 23 draw were invited directly through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.<\/p>\n<h3>Step 1: Expression of Interest<\/h3>\n<p>Completing an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/manitoba-skilled-worker-immigration-stream.html#MPNPExpressionofInterestSystem\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Expression of Interest<\/a>\u00a0(EOI) is the first required step for most skilled worker candidates who would like to be considered for a provincial nomination from Manitoba.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates provide the required information about their education, work experience, proficiency in English or French and connections to Manitoba, among other details, and are awarded\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/manitoba-skilled-worker-immigration-stream.html?_ga=2.202005073.1371015348.1558448273-806715713.1510089659#mpnppointsassessment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a score<\/a>\u00a0based on their answers.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates with the highest scores are invited through regular draws from Manitoba\u2019s EOI pool.<\/p>\n<p>The minimum score required for an LAA in the May 23 EOI draw was:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Skilled Workers in Manitoba:\u00a0<strong>548<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Skilled Workers Overseas:\u00a0<strong>506<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Last year saw the MPNP issue a record 5,207 nominations, with 98 per cent going to candidates in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba\u00a0and\u00a0Skilled Workers Overseas immigration
