(File <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/opengridscheduler\/26394857992\/\">photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/opengridscheduler\/\">Open Grid Scheduler \/ Grid Engine\/Flickr<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/publicdomain\/zero\/1.0\/\">Public Domain<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0&#8212; President Rodrigo Duterte will wait for recommendations from National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon Jr. and the defense department on matters concerning Google&#8217;s decision to bar Chinese smartphone company Huawei from some updates to the Android operating system.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI suppose the Department of National Defense as well as the National Security Adviser are studying that matter,\u201d said Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo in a Palace briefing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd the President will be waiting for whatever recommendation they have on that,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>These restrictions came after U.S. President Donald Trump placed the Huawei Technologies Co.
