Aquilino Pimentel III said the ruling Partido Demokratiko Pilipino\u2013Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) is poised to secure the House leadership.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Di naman siya nakikialam pagdating sa<\/em>\u00a0election\u00a0<em>sa<\/em>\u00a0Congress (The President doesn\u2019t meddle with elections in the Congress),\u201d said Panelo in a Palace briefing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Ibang usapan na iyong<\/em>\u00a0Speakership fight (The Speakership fight is a different story), it\u2019s among themselves,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>There are three PDP-Laban members seeking to replace former President and now Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.<\/p>\n<p>These are Pampanga Rep. Aurelio Gonzales, Marinduque Rep. Lord Allan Velasco, and former speaker and re-elected Davao del Norte Rep.
