MANILA \u2013 When asked about the origins of his relationship with girlfriend Sarah Geronimo, Matteo Guidicelli matter-of-factly said: \u201cPinaglaban din niya po ako, kaya I\u2019m very, very proud of her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Guidicelli said In an interview on “The Buzz” on Sunday that he is proud of Geronimo for standing up for herself and their relationship, although he qas quick to add that he respects the opinions and feelings of the singer\u2019s parents.<\/p>\n

“I guess she felt it was time,” he said. “So when I saw it, in a way, I was very proud of her.<\/p>\n

By Guidicelli\u2019s admission, his relationship with Sarah began about a year ago, though he noted that Geronimo was initially cautious about having a \u201cshowbiz boyfriend.<\/p>\n
