Thirteen-year-old Amoguis totalled a gold in the 13-14 100m backstroke and the 200m individual medley. She also won silver in the 200m freestyle medley. Responding to being one of the first double gold medalists in the games, the Batang Pinoy star also shared, \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I&#8217;m really happy and I broke all my times. I&#8217;m very, very happy and honored to swim for the Philippines because it&#8217;s my country and I&#8217;m proud to be a Filipino.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another athlete who scored double gold for the country was John Lloyd Cabalo, who dominated athletics for the 400m run and the 4x100m relay with teammates Joviane Calixto, Jason Buenacosa, and Romel Bautista. \u201cI&#8217;ve always dreamt of winning a gold medal here in Australia because the competition is so tough,\u201d he shared in delight after being awarded at the Marrara Sporting Complex.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Among Amoguis and Cabalo\u2019s four golds, the Philippines won six more throughout the day, adding onto their 12 silvers and six bronzes.
