(Pixabay Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 As fear of a catastrophic earthquake, dubbed as the \u201cBig One\u201d, hangs like the Sword of Damocles over Metro Manila following a series of tremors that struck Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao early this week, the people are urged to pray this powerful prayer to avert such disaster.<\/p>\n<p>At 3 a.m. Friday, a magnitude 4.4 earthquake jolted Ilocos Norte, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).<\/p>\n<p>The tremor&#8217;s epicenter, was traced 10 kilometers southwest of San Nicolas town.<\/p>\n<p>Intensity 4 was felt in San Nicolas while Intensity 3 was felt in Sarrat.<\/p>\n<p>The tremor was also felt in Sinait and Vigan City in Ilocos Sur and Pasuquin and Laoag City in Ilocos Norte.<\/p>\n<p>Earthquake is unpredictable despite the advent of modern technology.<\/p>\n<p>It strikes swiftly any time without warning, day or night anywhere on earth.<\/p>\n<p>The Philippines, which is within the \u201cPacific Ring of Fire\u201d, is hounded by earthquake all year round.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why people are urged to be prepared 24\/7, especially praying to God to save us from destruction.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the Prayer Against Storms, Earthquakes, and Other Disasters:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost precious blood of Jesus Christ, save us and the whole world<\/p>\n<p>Jesus Christ, a King of Glory<\/p>\n<p>Has come in peace<\/p>\n<p>God became man<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd the Word was made flesh *<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChrist was born of a virgin. *<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChrist suffered. *<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChrist was crucified.*<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChrist died.*<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChrist rose from the dead.*<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChrist ascended into heaven.*<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChrist conquers.*<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChrist reigns.*<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChrist orders.*<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMay Christ protect us<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom all storms, earthquakes,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd other disasters.*<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChrist went through their midst in peace*<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd the Word was made Flesh.*<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChrist is with us with Mary.*<\/p>\n<p>Flee, you enemy spirits because<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Lion of the Generation Judah,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe root of David has won.*<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHoly God!*<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHoly powerful God!*<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHoly immortal God!*<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHave mercy on us.
