Facebook photo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MANILA \u2013 Following reports on the alleged bribery of several prosecutors of the Maguindanao massacre case, the Palace assures the public that there will be no cover up in the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The statement was released after Justice Secretary Leila de Lima\u2019s made an order asking the National Bureau of Investigation to investigate the allegations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSecretary of Justice Leila de Lima will not cover for anyone who is doing a wrongdoing and that\u2019s why NBI is there to investigate all these allegations,\u201d Lacierda said.<\/p>\n<p>Atty. Nena Santos, one of the private prosecutors in the case said she was offered P300-million by the Ampatuans to weaken the prosecution\u2019s arguments.<\/p>\n<p>De Lima said that 11 members of the panel prosecutors asked for the probe in order to debunk the claims of Santos and another private lawyer, Prima Jesusa Quinsayas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know I have full trust and confidence in this panel. They\u2019re doing their job,\u201d De Lima said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will ask the NBI to investigate the alleged P300- million offer to Atty. Nena [Santos] and also the allegation that the panel had been bribed.
