Though the name of her partner was not really mentioned, her last relationship that was revealed to the public was with actor Elmo Magalona.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She explains, \u201cI went through really bad times. I got depressed, I didn&#8217;t want to get out of the house anymore. When I went through that, it was like I wanted to be in this little hole and never get out. I was stuck there with all these bad memories in my head&#8230; What happened to me was really amazing. God spoke to me, and ever since that day happened, I have a different outlook now on life.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Cebuana specifies that she found three of her friends sending her an inspiring text message the same morning, one of them being fellow actress Erich Gonzales, revealing, \u201cShe sent me a long message telling me that &#8216;there is something better in store for you. God wants to tell you that.&#8217; It was so long and so beautiful.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After her failed relationship with Elmo, whom she once elaborated on physically abusing her on drunken nights, Janella said she learned \u201cwhat [she] can tolerate, what [she] can\u2019t tolerate, and how to love someone, but at the same time still love yourself,\u201d concluding, \u201cNot forget about yourself because at one point, I didn\u2019t realize it while I was there, but I gave too much of myself away that I forgot that I had my own person.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last October 2018, Janella admitted that she had started seeking professional therapy as a victim of physical abuse.
