(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/DarrenEspantoAuthentic\/photos\/pcb.841360212870591\/841360109537268\/?type=3&amp;theater\">Photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/DarrenEspantoAuthentic\/\">Darren Espanto\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p2\">Young Kapamilya singer Darren Espanto took to social media to mourn the death of his former road manager, Carmencita \u201cKaren\u201d Pelayo who died after being stabbed last Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Along with photos of him and his \u201cAte Karen,\u201d Darren wrote, \u201cI still couldn\u2019t believe the news of your passing, <em>ate<\/em> Karen. <i>Nanginginig ako hanggang ngayon kasi \u2018di ako makapaniwala sa nabalitaan ko <\/i>(I\u2019m still shaking until now because I cannot believe what I have heard)<i>.\u201c<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\u201cActually, <i>ayaw ko maniwala sa totoo lang. Sobra kasing masakit. Napakabuti mong tao <\/i>(I do not want to believe in it, to be honest. It hurts so much. You were such a good person)<i>,\u201d<\/i> he continued.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Darren then recalled memories he shared with Karen whom he described as someone who is \u201cmore than\u201d just a colleague to him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><i>\u201cInalagaan mo ako at itinuring na parang kapamilya mo at ganoon ka rin sa amin <\/i>(You have taken care of me and treated me as your family \u2014 you were also like that to us)<i>.<\/i> You are family to us&#8230; You will forever be my \u2018Ate Karen,\u2019\u201d he said, adding that he will keep all his fond memories with Karen \u2014 may it be good or bad \u2014 as well as remember all the things his road manager had taught him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">\u201cI love you so much and I\u2019ll keep you close to my heart always,\u201d Darren ended.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">In an exclusive report by ABS-CBN news on April 9, Karen and her friend, Karwin Guevarra, travelled to Pampanga on Saturday to meet their friend named \u201cRegine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><i>\u201cMay kukunin silang pera. \u2018Yung <\/i>bank account <i>nung dalawa doon ipapasok &#8216;yung pera <\/i>(They will get some money. It will be deposited to their bank accounts)<i>,\u201d<\/i> Mark John Hernandez, Karen\u2019s husband, said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Karen and Karwin, however, were both found lifeless inside a house in Mabalacat City, with multiple stabs in their bodies and was hit in the head. Regine, on the other hand, survived the attack.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">The police identified Regine as the suspect of the crime as they found \u201cinconsistency\u201d on her statement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><i>\u201cAng una kwento niya, siya raw ay pinalo ng sinasabing <\/i>unidentified suspect. N<i>a<\/i>-unconcious <i>siya tapos nagtulog-tulugan <\/i>(She initially said that she was hit by an unidentified suspect. She was unconscious and then pretended to be asleep)<i>,\u201d <\/i>he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Although there were scratches on Regine\u2019s body, the police said it looked like it was \u201cself-inflicted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Relatives of the victims, according to the report, said the three have been friends for a long time and that Regine was allegedly indebted to Karen and Karwin.
