After taking a hiatus from his entertainment career, 35-year-old actor John Lloyd Cruz has confirmed to his 215,000 followers on social media that he will be returning to the on-screen scene.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Facebook and Instagram posts shared last Wednesday, April 3, John Lloyd publishes a poster of his newest endorsement with a shawarma establishment captioned, \u201c<\/span>Ang pagbalik<\/span><\/i>\u201d (the return). <\/span><\/p>\n

The day before, fellow Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual sparked the excitement of netizens after posting the same photo of John Lloyd on his own account, saying, \u201cIf that\u2019s you, I\u2019m happy because you\u2019re my brother. Welcome to the family!\u201d referring to his and his son I\u00f1igo\u2019s endorsing for the company as well. Turks, the shawarma brand, posted the poster on their own accounts, saying in Filipino, \u201cNot all that leave don\u2019t come back. Sometimes, they just need a break. Returning now! Who and what is this? Coming very very soon.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The \u201cOne More Chance\u201d star\u2019s on-screen partner Bea Alonzo also posted a video of a mystery man seen from behind within the day, quoting their hit movie saying, \u201cPoy, ikaw ba yan?\u201d referencing John Lloyd\u2019s character in the film.<\/span><\/p>\n

John Lloyd filed for an indefinite leave from show business back in October 2017. He has since been very secretive about his life with partner model Ellen Adarna and son Elias Modesto, who was born in June 2018 and named after Ellen\u2019s late father, Alan Modesto. Instead of acting, he has focused on his artwork during the time, joining artists Kaloy Sanchez, Tatong Torres, and Kawayan de Guia in displaying his works at West Gallery\u2019s four-man exhibition. He even published a poem in October 2018 entitled \u201c<\/span>Mga Ibon<\/span><\/i>,\u201d dedicating it to his son.<\/span><\/p>\n

John Lloyd was last seen in the premises of his home network, ABS-CBN, last February 28, with a source who spotted him sharing in Filipino, \u201cHe looks so different now! He gained weight, and it\u2019s like he\u2019s not clean-looking, he has a beard and mustache now. So different from the John Lloyd that I was seeing before,\u201d adding, \u201cHe stayed for a while to talk to the executives.
