(File <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BvUKumkhdE5\/\">Photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/janetjackson\/\">@janetjackson\/Instagram<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>NEW YORK \u2013 Janet Jackson, Stevie Nicks and a quintet of British bands are being honoured with induction into the Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Fame on Friday at Brooklyn&#8217;s Barclays Center.<\/p>\n<p>The rock bands \u2013 Def Leppard, Radiohead, the Cure, Roxy Music and the Zombies \u2013 represent a variety of styles and eras.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson will join her brother Michael and the rest of the Jackson 5 as members of the rock hall. Singer Janelle Monae is lined to induct Jackson, whose hits include \u201cWhat Have You Done For Me Lately,\u201d \u201cAll For You\u201d and \u201cThat&#8217;s the Way Love Goes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s some potential for awkward vibes, since the event is being filmed for later airing on HBO \u2013 the same network that angered the Jackson family this winter for showing the documentary \u201cLeaving Neverland,\u201d about two men who alleged Michael Jackson abused them when they were boys.<\/p>\n<p>Nicks is already in the hall as a member of Fleetwood Mac, but she joins a more exclusive club of double inductees in being saluted for solo work like \u201cEdge of Seventeen,\u201d \u201cStand Back\u201d and her duet with the late Tom Petty, \u201cStop Draggin&#8217; My Heart Around.\u201d Harry Styles is inducting her.<\/p>\n<p>David Byrne is inducting Radiohead, who have established a record of creativity and pop success since the 1997 album \u201cOK Computer\u201d and are still active today.<\/p>\n<p>Def Leppard sold tons of records, back when musicians used to do that, with a heavy metal sound sheened to pop perfection on songs like \u201cPhotograph\u201d and \u201cPour Some Sugar on Me.\u201d Queen&#8217;s Brian May will induct them.<\/p>\n<p>The Cure&#8217;s hitmaking peak was in the 1990s. The former goth rockers fronted by Robert Smith proved potent pop songwriters through songs like \u201cFriday I&#8217;m In Love\u201d and \u201cBoys Don&#8217;t Cry.\u201d Trent Reznor will induct them.<\/p>\n<p>The stylish Roxy Music came out of the 1970s, led by Bryan Ferry and Brian Eno, who became a renowned producer.
