TOTO LOZANO\/PRESIDENTIAL PHOTO<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\">A latest survey released by Social Weather Stations (SWS) on Monday, March 11, showed that majority of Filipinos are satisfied with the performance of President Rodrigo Duterte&#8217;s administration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Among 1,440 respondents in the pollster&#8217;s Fourth Quarter 2018 Social Weather Survey, 76 percent of adult Filipinos said they are &#8220;satisfied,&#8221; nine percent said they are &#8220;dissatisfied&#8221; and 15 percent said they are &#8220;neither satisfied nor dissatisfied&#8221; with the general performance of the government under Duterte.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">This latest figure resulted to a net satisfaction rating of +66, which the SWS classified as &#8220;very good.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8220;This is a 16-point increase from the\u00a0<i>very good<\/i>\u00a0+50 (65% satisfied, 15% dissatisfied) in September 2018,&#8221; the SWS said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Geographically, the government&#8217;s net satisfaction rating rose from &#8220;very good&#8221; to &#8220;excellent&#8221; in Mindanao at +75, while it climbed from &#8220;good&#8221; to &#8220;very good&#8221; in Visayas, Metro Manila, and Balance Luzon at +63, +60, and +65, respectively.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The Duterte administration&#8217;s net satisfaction also rose from &#8220;good&#8221; to &#8220;very good&#8221; in urban areas at +68, while it remained &#8220;very good&#8221; in rural areas at +65.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Governance Report Card<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The latest survey also disclosed the respondents&#8217; score on the government&#8217;s performance on several issues.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Of the 17 specific performance subjects rated, the government got an &#8220;excellent&#8221; net satisfaction ratings on promoting women&#8217;s rights at +71 and building and maintenance of public works at +70.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">It was &#8220;very good&#8221; on helping the poor at +68, protecting human rights at +62, reconstructing Marawi City at +60, fighting terrorism at +55, transparency in government activities at +54, and deciding quickly at +50.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Meanwhile, the respondents said the Duterte administration was &#8220;good&#8221; at fighting crimes at +44, reconciling with Muslim rebels at +43, eradicating graft and corruption at +42, defending Philippine sovereignty in the West Philippine Sea at +40, reconciling with communist rebels at +39, fulfilling commitments in international treaties at +39, and foreign relations at +38.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">It was, on the other hand, &#8220;moderate&#8221; on ensuring that no family will ever be hungry at +28, and fighting inflation at +14.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The Fourth Quarter 2018 Social Weather Survey was conducted from December 16-19, 2018.
