(File <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/RockosDiner\/photos\/a.611080622351385\/1398867090239397\/?type=3&amp;amp;theater\">Photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/RockosDiner\/\">Rockos Diner\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>MISSION, B.C. \u2014 The manager of a diner where Luke Perry filmed the television show \u201cRiverdale\u201d in Mission, B.C., says fans have been trickling in to reminisce about the actor since his death Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly Sullivan says the CW program based on the \u201cArchie\u201d comics filmed part of its first season at Rocko&#8217;s 24-Hour Diner before a replica set was built.<\/p>\n<p>Perry, who played the role of Archie Andrews&#8217; father Fred Andrews, died at age 52 after suffering a stroke.<\/p>\n<p>Sullivan says the diner is thinking of creating a milkshake in Perry&#8217;s name but hasn&#8217;t settled on a flavour. It already serves 46 flavours of milkshakes, with four named for Archie characters including a strawberry-apple pie \u201cArchie shake\u201d and cherry cola \u201cVeronica shake.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Perry had a prolific career but is best known for his role as wealthy teen rebel Dylan McKay on \u201cBeverly Hills, 90210,\u201d which ran from 1990 to 2000.<\/p>\n<p>Sullivan says \u201cRiverdale\u201d fans have visited the diner since the show first aired but a few told her Monday they&#8217;d come sooner than planned because of the actor&#8217;s death.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt&#8217;s a nice place to come and reminisce about him. He was a great actor and a lot of people followed him so it&#8217;s nice to come to a place that he actually came to and filmed at,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Brenna Dempsey and Joanne Crowder said they drove about an hour Tuesday to eat lunch at the diner in Perry&#8217;s honour.<\/p>\n<p>The friends, 46 and 44 respectively, said they became fans of Perry while watching \u201c90210\u201d in high school and have followed his career ever since.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe decided to come to lunch to think about Luke Perry and the sadness of it all,\u201d said Dempsey, who lives in Maple Ridge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c90210 started when I was in high school. It was something everyone my age was watching and it grew from there, I&#8217;ve always been a Luke Perry fan since then,\u201d Dempsey said.<\/p>\n<p>Crowder said she appreciated that \u201cRiverdale\u201d films in Canada, adding that Perry&#8217;s \u201c90210\u201d co-star Jason Priestley is from the Vancouver area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was too young, he wasn&#8217;t really much older than us,\u201d said Crowder, who is from Port Coquitlam.<\/p>\n<p>Perry had roles in a handful of films, including \u201cThe Fifth Element,\u201d \u201cBuffy the Vampire Slayer,\u201d \u201c8 Seconds\u201d and \u201cAmerican Strays,\u201d appeared in HBO&#8217;s prison drama \u201cOz\u201d as a televangelist convicted of fraud, and voiced cartoons including \u201cThe Incredible Hulk\u201d and \u201cMortal Kombat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He made his Broadway musical debut as Brad in the \u201cThe Rocky Horror Picture Show,\u201d and starred on London&#8217;s West End in another stage adaptation of a film, \u201cWhen Harry Met Sally.\u201d In recent years he starred in the series \u201cTies That Bind\u201d and \u201cBody of Proof.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The day he was hospitalized, Fox TV announced that it would be running a six-episode return of \u201c90210\u201d featuring most of the original cast, but Perry was not among those announced.<\/p>\n<p>On the original series, Perry&#8217;s character went from loner to part of a close-knit circle that included twins Brenda and Brandon Walsh (played by Shannen Doherty and Priestley), but also endured a string of romantic, family and other setbacks, including drug addiction.
