MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Rodrigo R. Duterte warned Peter Lim anew from being caught noting that the fugitive and alleged drug lord would not be able to make it out alive.<\/p>\n

\u201cIkaw Peter Lim ka, ‘wag ka talagang magpakita dito sa<\/em>\u00a0police, military\u00a0o ako kasi ‘pag nakita kita, papatayin kita<\/em>\u00a0(You, Peter Lim, don\u2019t show yourself to police, military or me because when I see you, I\u2019ll kill you),\u201d Duterte said during the 1st National Assembly of the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilpinas in Pasay City on Monday night.<\/p>\n

\u201cWala akong pakialam. Punta ka doon sa<\/em>\u00a0China,\u00a0balik ka. Bahala ka. Pero ‘pag nakita kita dito sa Pilipinas,<\/em>\u00a0you’re dead (I don\u2019t care. Go to China, return. It\u2019s up to you. But if I see you in the Philippines, you\u2019re dead),\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Duterte recalled a time when he was still the mayor of Davao City and Lim wanted to speak to him to \u201cexplain\u201d and deny his alleged links to illegal drugs.<\/p>\n

The President said that because Lim didn\u2019t have a case filed against him or arrest warrant yet, he just listened to his explanation.<\/p>\n

However, Duterte said that had there been a case or arrest warrant, he might have done things differently.<\/p>\n

\u201cEh wala pa kasing kaso noon na may<\/em>\u00a0warrant\u00a0eh. Kaya kung noon ‘yung panahon na ‘yon may<\/em>\u00a0warrant\u00a0na siya, pagkatapos ng<\/em>\u00a0interview\u00a0barilin ko na siya doon sa hagdanan<\/em>\u00a0(That time he didn\u2019t have any case or warrant. If there was already a warrant against him, after the interview, I\u2019d shoot him by the stairs),\u201d Duterte said.<\/p>\n

Last Wednesday, Duterte called on the Cebu-based businessman to just commit suicide rather than surrender to the authorities.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am warning\u00a0yung mga nasa<\/em>\u00a0Visayas. Peter Lim, if I were you, I would commit suicide, never ever surrender to me alive, you will commit suicide.\u00a0I-abbreviate mo na, ikaw pa magtali sa leeg mo<\/em>\u00a0(just tie a rope around your neck),\u201d Duterte said in his speech during the signing of Universal Health Care law.<\/p>\n

Lim is currently facing an arrest warrant for two counts of the non-bailable offense of conspiracy to commit illegal drug trade, along with self-confessed drug lord Kerwin Espinosa.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Philippine National Police’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) tagged Lim as the source of “shabu” being sold by the Espinosa group.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Dutete warned drug addicts from loitering in public places.<\/p>\n
