(Shutterstock Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Ontario has issued new invitations to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence to French-speaking Express Entry candidates.\u00a0 \u00a0<span id=\"more-11868\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The 61 invitations were issued February 7 through Ontario\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/ontario-express-entry-french-speaking-skilled-worker-stream.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">French-Speaking Skilled Worker<\/a>\u00a0immigration stream.<\/p>\n<p>This stream lets the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/ontario-provincial-nominee-program.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program<\/a>\u00a0(OINP) select French-speaking candidates in the Express Entry-managed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/federal-skilled-worker-program-fswp.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Federal Skilled Worker Class<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canadian-experience-class.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Canadian Experience Class<\/a>\u00a0who have strong English abilities and eligible skilled work experience, among other criteria.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Express Entry system<\/a>\u00a0is Canada\u2019s main source of skilled foreign labour and manages the pool of candidates for the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Canadian Experience Class and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canada-federal-skilled-trades-program-fstc.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Federal Skilled Trades Class<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Eligible candidates are\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry-comprehensive-ranking-system.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ranked in the Express Entry pool<\/a>\u00a0based on a score awarded for factors including age, education, skilled work experience and proficiency in English or French and a set number of the highest-ranked are\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/express-entry-invitation-to-apply-for-permanent-residence.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">invited to apply for Canadian permanent residence<\/a>\u00a0through regular invitation rounds.<\/p>\n<p>Express Entry candidates with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/provincial-nomination-program.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a provincial nomination<\/a>\u00a0are issued an additional 600 points toward their ranking score, effectively guaranteeing an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence.<\/p>\n<p>Ontario\u2019s French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream has two key advantages for Express Entry candidates: one being the fact it does not require a job offer in Ontario and the other being it does not require a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in order to be eligible.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates,\u00a0however, must be able to understand, read, write and speak French at a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadavisa.com\/canadian-language-benchmark-clb-descriptions.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Canadian Language Benchmark<\/a>\u00a0(CLB) of 7 and have a CLB of 6 in those same four abilities in English.<\/p>\n<p>The February 7 French-Speaking Skilled Worker draw followed an earlier one on February 1 in which 29 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination were issued.<\/p>\n<p>Ontario has now issued a total\u00a0of 189 invitations to apply through the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream in
