(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BtuWJNth5fq\/\">Photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/recordingacademy\/?hl=en\">@recordingacademy\/Instagram<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>LOS ANGELES \u2014 An overwhelmed\u00a0Cardi\u00a0B\u00a0won her first Grammy Award on Sunday night, making history as the first solo woman to win best rap album.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInvasion of Privacy\u201d beat out albums by the late Mac Miller, Nipsey Hussle, Pusha T and Travis Scott.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOh my goodness,\u201d she said, struggling to gather herself. \u201cWhoa, child.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cardi\u00a0B\u00a0is just the fifth woman ever nominated in the category, which was created in 1995.<\/p>\n<p>Lauryn Hill was part of the Fugees when the group won in 1997 for \u201cThe Score.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cardi\u00a0B\u00a0took the stage at the Staples Center holding the hand of husband, Offset, with whom she has reunited after marital issues last year.<\/p>\n<p>Holding the trophy in her white-gloved hands,\u00a0Cardi\u00a0B\u00a0thanked \u201cyou husband\u201d and the couple&#8217;s daughter, who was born seven months to the date.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;m sorry, I just, oh the nerves are so bad,\u201d she said. \u201cMaybe I need to start smoking weed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cardi\u00a0B\u00a0told the crowd she found out she was pregnant before her album was completed.
