(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SenatorPingLacson\/photos\/a.1709445882458737.1073742068.824886400914694\/1709442972459028\/?type=3&amp;amp;theater\">File Photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SenatorPingLacson\/\">Senator Ping Lacson\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0&#8212; Senator Panfilo Lacson on Wednesday said the funding for the establishment and maintenance of child-caring reform centers or the \u201cBahay Pag-asa\u201d should come from the national government.<\/p>\n<p>In a radio interview, Lacson noted that several local government units have failed to provide funding for the creation and maintenance of these youth care facilities for the rehabilitation of children in conflict with the law.<\/p>\n<p>He said the present law mandates local government units to allocate 1 percent of their internal revenue allotment for programs and youth care facilities catering to children at risk and in conflict with the law.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>May mga probinsya na baka hindi rin kayanin na magtayo at mag-<\/em>maintain<em>\u00a0kasi hindi biro ang<\/em>\u00a0maintenance<em>\u00a0dito, ang pagtayo milyon na ito, baka<\/em>\u00a0tens of millions if not hundreds of millions\u2026\u00a0<em>Sabi ng<\/em>\u00a0social welfare officer<em>\u00a0sa pagdinig kahapon, walang<\/em>\u00a0beds,\u00a0<em>walang<\/em>\u00a0facilities.
