(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/bryanadamsofficial\/photos\/a.130054907040938\/2124050194308056\/?type=3&amp;theater\">File photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/bryanadamsofficial\/\">Bryan Adams\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>TORONTO \u2014 Bryan Adams is getting some powerhouse support from two of pop music&#8217;s biggest names on his upcoming album.<\/p>\n<p>The Canadian hitmaker says he&#8217;s enlisted both Ed Sheeran and Jennifer Lopez for his 14th studio release \u201cShine a Light,\u201d which arrives March 1.<\/p>\n<p>Sheeran co-wrote the titular lead single, which debuted on streaming services Thursday, though the \u201cShape of You\u201d performer doesn&#8217;t sing on the track.<\/p>\n<p>Adams says the two met at one of Sheeran&#8217;s Dublin concerts and stayed in touch afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>He explained in the announcement that one day he sent Sheeran the chorus for a song he called \u201cShine a Light,\u201d asking him if he&#8217;d consider a writing collaboration. Sheeran responded by sending Adams a few verses which ultimately became part of the song.<\/p>\n<p>The Grammy winner also recorded a duet with Lopez called, \u201cThat&#8217;s How Strong Our Love Is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Adams, who recently co-wrote songs for the Broadway show \u201cPretty Woman: The Musical,\u201d plans to launch a world tour in Belfast on Feb. 25, following a run of Canadian tour dates in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<p>The musician is playing nine shows, including Moncton, N.B. (Jan. 22), Halifax (Jan. 23), Montreal (Jan. 26) and Kingston, Ont. (Jan. 30).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShine a Light\u201d will be distributed in two versions, each with an exclusive track.<\/p>\n<p>One will include the song \u201cThe Last Night on Earth,\u201d and will be available on streaming services, CD and cassette.
