(File <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hanjinshipyardphils\/photos\/a.551956528161526\/1913212338702598\/?type=1&amp;theater\">Photo<\/a>:<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/hanjinshipyardphils\/\">HHIC PHILS Hanjin Heavy Industries &amp; Construction Co., Ltd.\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA<\/strong>\u00a0&#8212; Malaca\u00f1ang on Thursday said government takeover of debt-ridden Korean company Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction Philippines (HHIC-Phil) is just a proposal.<\/p>\n<p>Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo made this comment after Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana reportedly claimed that the President \u201cis very receptive\u201d to an idea for the government to take over the shipbuilding facilities in Subic Bay.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When I asked Secretary Lorenzana,\u00a0<em>ang parang sinabi lang ni Presidente, \u201cTingnan natin\u201d\u2026 madaling sabihin<\/em>\u00a0(the only reaction of the President is &#8220;Let&#8217;s see&#8221;, so it&#8217;s easy to say that) it\u2019s just a proposal,\u201d Panelo said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Proposal pa lang ni Secretary Lorenzana iyon<\/em>, (It\u2019s just a proposal of Secretary Lorenzana). So let\u2019s see how it evolves,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>Panelo said he personally supports Lorenzana\u2019s proposal instead of foreign companies taking over the shipbuilding facilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Kung kaya ba natin patakbuhin ba\u2019t naman hindi<\/em>\u00a0(If we can operate it why not)\u201d Panelo said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are\u2026 I understand the number four in the world ranking in shipbuilding\u2026\u00a0<em>eh \u2018di magandang kita iyon<\/em>\u00a0(it\u2019s a good source of income).
