The 2018 film, starred by JM de Guzman and Rhian Ramos, talks about the story of a man named Lio who is suffering from a “face blindness.”

Fans of the indie ban expressed how happy and excited they were about the released, with some thanking UDD for giving them their highly anticipated wish.

On Twitter, netizen @farfrommulan also greeted the band a Happy New Year, adding, “And not to be dramatic, but I teared up with this news.”

Netizen @caladashh, meanwhile, tagged her friend @katsushiii on UDD’s announcement and said she fell asleep while she listens to Anino. Replying to her tweet, her friend @katsushiii invited her friend to come over the band’s gig if they will have one in Quezon City.

“I need to hear these songs live!!!!!!” she wrote.

Netizen @alaenadenise cannot contain her happiness as she can now stream Anino, the song she has been waiting for almost four years already.

The release of the formal studio version of Anino, which he has been listening for years; Twitter user @random_almonte even called such development as a “biggest blessing” for him this new year.

Social media user @theNealCutter, on the other hand, shared that he is usually “articulate” with his points and critiques on why he likes certain songs or not — but it was different this time.

“For this moment I’m just speechless. Up Dharma Down really did that,” he said.

Also known for some of their emotionally-charged songs, the indie band, of course, was successful in making their fans sing along with their new tracks while having their hearts broken.

“Up Dharma Down really made a song called ‘Crying Season’ for me & my iyakin (crybaby) friends huh,” said netizen @bet_zayb.

Netizen @janrendon, meanwhile, said UDD is the ultimate “dart sa (in the) heart” type of Original Pinoy Music (OPM).

“Napaka-babaw and surface level lang ng mga hit na new OPM songs in that category compared to Armi’s [Millare] writing process,” he wrote.

Twitter user @pitmndza jokingly blamed the band for breaking his heart on the very first day of 2019. Quoting a line from the song Anino, the netizen said, “Heto ako nakatayo sa iyong harapan. Heto ako handa ang lahat nna masaktan. MASAYA KA TEH!!! HAHAHA (Here I am standing in front of you. I’m here ready to get hurt. Are you happy!!!! HAHAHA).”

Echoing the same sentiment, netizen @ComeBaquiToMe, tweeted, “NEW YEAR NA NEW YEAR TAPOS MANANAKIT KAYO WALA NAMANG GANYANAN UP DHARMA DOWN (It is New Year but you are hurting us. Do not be like that, Up Dharma Down).”

UDD has been giving its fans all the feels since it was formed in 2004. In a span of 14 years, the indie band has already released three albums entitled Fragmented, Bipolar, and Capacities under independent record label Terno Recordings.

Fans of Filipino band Up Dharma Down (UDD) greeted the first day of 2019 with a big surprise: UDD just …

[2,46

post-196106","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-entertainment","category-entertainment-ph","mauthors-joanna-belle-deala","mauthors-philippine-canadian-inquirer
["GET
