Fifty-eight year-old <\/span>Ang Probinsyano <\/span><\/i>star Michael Edward Eigenmann, better known as Michael de Mesa, and wife Julie Reyes-Eigenmann bid farewell to the actor\u2019s father-in-law Raymund Reyes as he passed away on Christmas Day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two days after Raymund\u2019s passing, Michael shares a photo on his social media account of him and his father-in-law during his wedding, captioned, \u201cRest in peace, Daddy Raymund. I promise to take good care of your daughter Julie and granddaughter Yuki like you asked me to,\u201d ending it saying, \u201cWe will miss you.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Julie shares a series of photos with her father on her Instagram profile as well, describing her grief, saying, \u201cI am feeling a lot less wonderful this season as I stumble through the grief of losing my Dad on Christmas Day.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

She shares, \u201cTrying my very best to accept the unexpectedness and unfairness of it all. I am feeling so overwhelmed and I\u2019m using every coping skill I can come up with just to get through it. Today, I find peace writing about him.\u201d Her post continues, \u201cDaddy, I miss you terribly already. The pain is unbearable right now.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

As an optimistic conclusion, Julie notes, \u201cI somehow hear your voice in the back of my head telling me to watch over our family. And I will, Daddy. I promise. Rest peacefully now in the arms of our Lord. I love you so much and I will be thinking of you always until we meet again.\u201d The couple has not shared Raymund\u2019s cause of death.<\/span><\/p>\n

Michael and Julie, who used to be a member of dance group Hotlegs, were married in 2011, ten years after Michael\u2019s separation with actress\/director Gina Alajar. This year, Michael revealed his revolutionary healing after a long battle with Hepatitis C for 18 years, which led to his mission to raise awareness and educate Filipinos about the disease. In his words, \u201cYou never know you have it until it\u2019s too late. It\u2019s very, very important to have your blood tested particularly for the Hep B or Hep C virus. That\u2019s the only time you\u2019ll know you\u2019re a carrier.
