{"id":19087,"date":"2014-07-14T21:57:48","date_gmt":"2014-07-14T13:57:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/?p=19087"},"modified":"2014-07-15T15:00:24","modified_gmt":"2014-07-15T07:00:24","slug":"10-injured-in-nova-scotia-bus-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/2014\/07\/14\/10-injured-in-nova-scotia-bus-crash\/","title":{"rendered":"10 injured in Nova Scotia bus crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/nova-scotia.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13085\" src=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/nova-scotia.jpg\" alt=\"nova scotia\" width=\"493\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/nova-scotia.jpg 493w, https:\/\/canadianinquirer.net\/v1\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/nova-scotia-300x202.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 493px) 100vw, 493px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>NEIL&#8217;S HARBOUR, N.S. &#8212; Ten people were injured Sunday when a tour bus carrying 20 passengers crashed on a Cape Breton highway, but only one suffered injuries that were described as serious.<\/p>\n<p>The Mounties said emergency crews airlifted one person from the scene with serious injuries after a bus, which was carrying 20 passengers plus the driver, lost control and tipped onto its side into a ditch shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Another nine people suffered what are described as moderate injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The single-vehicle crash occurred about three kilometres south of Neil&#8217;s Harbour.<\/p>\n<p>Police said they have not yet confirmed what caused the bus driver to lose control.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Often times, when you have highway closures traffic will simply be rerouted to a secondary road around the collision,&#8221; said Sgt. Brigdit Leger. &#8220;But of course it&#8217;s the Cabot Trail so there is no secondary highway.
