Today, the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of Small Business and Export Promotion, wrapped up her trip to British Columbia. During her visit she met with small business stakeholders in several communities across the province to highlight the importance of export and entrepreneurship and promote the benefits of exporting for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME).<\/p>\n

In Vancouver, Minister Ng met with board members of the\u00a0Asia Pacific Foundation<\/a>\u00a0to discuss the importance of trade and of supporting Canadian SMEs looking to export. She participated in the\u00a0Japan-Canada Innovation Partnership Forum<\/a>\u00a0hosted by the\u00a0Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO)<\/a>. She then spoke about the Government\u2019s\u00a0Women Entrepreneurship Strategy<\/a>\u00a0at the\u00a0Greater Vancouver Board of Trade<\/a>\u2019s\u00a0WE FOR SHE<\/a>\u00a0conference. Finally, Minister Ng met with the\u00a0BC-India Business Network<\/a>\u00a0to talk about how the Government of Canada is supporting small businesses looking to access new markets.<\/p>\n

While in British Columbia, Minister Ng also met with members of the\u00a0Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce<\/a>\u00a0and participated in an export promotion roundtable at\u00a0Accelerate Okanagan<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
