Salamat, Coco, dahil nananatiling buhay ang alaala ni #FPJ sa mahusay na pagganap mo.&#8221; (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BoVgy7ElHbw\/\">Photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/sengracepoe\/\">@sengracepoe<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/\">Instagram<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the recent cry of Philippine National Police (PNP) Director-General Oscar Albalyalde on ABS-CBN\u2019s long-running primetime series \u201cFPJ\u2019s Ang Probinsyano&#8217;s\u201d supposed \u201cunfair portrayal of police\u201d Senator Grace Poe defends the local series.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Poe sent a statement to ABS-CBN News, telling him that she believes the show \u201coffers to the Filipino televiewers quality entertainment that espouses the values of family, respect for elders, courage and patriotism.\u201d She added, \u201cThe story emanates from the source material, with bits of twits. There are antagonists in the story, which did not only include the police but many others.\u201d Her letter concluded, \u201cHow the people view the police is based on the actions of the real police they see on the streets, and not on the acting of fictional cops they watch on screen.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Poe holds the series close to her heart not only because it was inspired by her father Fernando Poe Jr.\u2019s 1997 film, but also because her mother Susan Roces is a part of the current cast.
