VALERIE ESCALERA\/PRESIDENTIAL PHOTO<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>MANILA\u00a0\u2014<\/strong>\u00a0Malaca\u00f1ang has expressed appreciation for President Rodrigo Roa Duterte\u2019s higher net trust rating in the third quarter of 2018.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are grateful for our people\u2019s continuing trust in President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, with the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) showing a &#8216;very good&#8217; trust rating at +62 in his favor,\u201d Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said in a press statement on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The 2018 Third Quarter SWS survey conducted on Sept. 15-23 found 74 percent of adult Filipinos had full trust in the President, while 14 percent were undecided, and 12 percent with little trust.<\/p>\n<p>It gave Duterte a net trust rating of +62, rising from +57 in June 2018, classified by SWS as &#8220;very good.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 5-percentage point increase was due to higher scores in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, combined with steady scores in the Visayas and Mindanao.<\/p>\n<p>In Metro Manila, Duterte\u2019s overall net trust rating rose by 9 points from +42 to +51, while Balance of Luzon was up by 10 points from +50 to +60.
