(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo.php?fbid=10156860376533534&amp;set=pcb.10156859980968534&amp;type=3&amp;theater\">Photo<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/itinlachicaumali\">Itin Lachica-Umali\/Facebook<\/a>)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Twelve-year-old junior wushu fighter Rastafari Daraliay got into a fatal accident by falling off the top of a bunk bed at the athlete&#8217;s headquarters at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Malate, Manila last Saturday morning, September 29.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reports from The Wushu Federation of the Philippines (WFP) said that at around 3 am, Daraliay fell from his bed, but he went back to sleep. His roommate sixteen-year-old Johnsenth Gajo reported that a few hours later, he found Daraliay on the floor with his mouth frothing. Darialay was immediately brought to the hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Currently, Daraliay\u2019s body remains at Santuario de San Vicente de Paul in Tandang Sora, Quezon City.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Upon hearing about the incident, Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman William \u201cButch\u201d Ramirez instructed further investigation from the members of the WFP. R<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">amirez shared, \u201cWhen I learned about the incident, I instructed the PSC Medical Doctor, Wushu officials, and PSC Operations Manager to submit immediate reports,\u201d further elaborating that they are giving the parents of Daraliay attention and aid as needed. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition, he told ABS-CBN News, \u201cThis is a very sad story of a young athlete who had a great dream for himself and his country.\u201d Ramirez will further address the issue and give a more detailed report of what happened to the public at a press conference on Monday.
