TV host Kris Aquino began to take legal action against the alleged \u2018betrayal\u2019 and “financial abuse” of a person, who took money from her production company Kris Aquino Cojuangco Productions (KCAP).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She recently announced seeking the help of former Solicitor General Florin Hilbay and Atty. Sig Fortun during a \u201clengthy meeting\u201d to discuss the next steps in dealing with the case. She shared in a lengthy Instagram caption, \u201cI\u2019ve asked two brilliant legal minds\u2026 to take charge of my legal team in my quest for justice.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

The social media influencer first shared about the situation in an Instagram post explaining why she has not been active on her accounts in the recent days, sharing, \u201c<\/span>In the 6 weeks that I quietly suffered because of financial abuse and betrayal we uncovered being done to me by someone I had complete trust and faith in, not to mention the millions he earned from running KCAP and negotiating my endorsements\u2014the stress, inability to eat and sleep properly caused my weight to drop to under 54 kilos.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

This was the caption accompanying a slideshow of photos of Kris, which played with the song \u201cWarrior\u201d by Demi Lovato. The first slide a quote from Christy Ann Martine that read, \u201cI won\u2019t let pain, turn my heart into something ugly. I will show you that surviving can be beautiful.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Kris also slammed rumors that she will be running for political office in the upcoming months. She shared, \u201cAllow me to firmly say I won\u2019t seek any national elective post in 2019,\u201d looking to focus on her kids. <\/span><\/p>\n

She ended her statement saying, \u201cI shall pray to stop blaming myself for being made a fool of, because it is a life lesson of knowing when and how much to trust, and how to place safeguards to protect myself and my business interests.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
