After 15 minutes of waiting for someone to answer my question, someone picks up says the formulated greeting, then just as I\u2019m about to reply I hear in the background \u2018Jasmine Curtis in the house.\u2019\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She then asked in Tagalog, \u201cThey\u2019re shouting the name of the customer around the office when it\u2019s a private customer service call? Isn\u2019t that disclosing the private and paying customer to your other employees?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She continued to say that she asked for the name of the call center representative, who replied saying that his name was \u2018Austin,\u2019 but did not want to share his last name because, he said in Tagalog, \u201cIt\u2019s not allowed.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jasmine continued her Twitter thread saying, \u201cBut me, as a paying customer of PLDT (I\u2019m not sponsored nor do I feel like a VIP customer, if there\u2019s even such a thing), the employees can talk about me between themselves? Complete name and they don\u2019t just tell the person next to them, they had to yell it out to the others who are also receiving customer care\/troubleshooting calls).\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She ended her statement in dismay, \u201cHow is this allowed?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the end, Jasmine also shared that her problem was not resolved and that both her internet and home phone are still not working. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PLDT responded to the series of tweets saying, &#8220;We apologize for that unfortunate incident, Jasmine,\u201d PLDT Cares stated. \u201cKnow that proper measures and adjustments will be made in response to this. We can help you through this channel too. Please DM us your account details so we can patch this up as soon as possible.
