Kathryn Bernardo cannot hold her tears back as her latest movie with her partner, Daniel Padilla, has earned almost half a billion, making it one of the country’s highest-grossing films.<\/p>\n

But behind the success of her movie, Kathryn shared that there are some hardships and difficulties she had to face.<\/p>\n

“Hindi siya naging madali. Sobrang hirap, grabe ‘yung<\/em> challenges, grabe ‘yung<\/em> pressure, pero ang sarap lang sa pakiramdam na, alam mo ‘yon, nandito na tayo sa <\/em>victory party natin <\/em>(It was not easy. It was really hard, the challenges and pressure is there but it feels good tht, you know, we are here now in our victory party),”<\/em> the emotional 22-year-old actress said in the film’s thanksgiving party on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

Kathryn then admitted that it has not been an easy journey for her earlier this year.<\/p>\n

“I felt so lost early this year. Ang dami kong<\/em> doubts sa sarili ko <\/em>(I have so many doubts to myself)… parang napagod na ako sa lahat<\/em> and then dumating ‘tong<\/em> ‘The Hows of Us (I felt like I\u2019m tired of everything and then \u2018The Hows of Us\u2019 came),'” she said.<\/p>\n

The actress, however, did not further elaborate what she has been through but she recalled that she had a meeting on her second shooting day with her film’s director Cathy Garcia-Molina, where the latter asked her if she wanted the project.<\/p>\n

“I said ‘yes.‘ Sabi nila <\/em>(They said),<\/em> ‘okay as long as gusto mo nandito kami para tulungan ka <\/em>(we are just here to help you),<\/em>‘” Kathryn said.<\/p>\n

“Hindi naman ako nabigo hanggang matapos ‘yung pelikula kasi grabe po ‘yung tulong nila sa’kin<\/em> especially Direk<\/em> Cathy na hindi napagod at hindi siya nagsawang maniwala sa’kin <\/em>(They did not fail me until the end of the movie because they were a big help to me especially Director Cathy who never got tired and never gets tired of believing in me),”<\/em> she added.<\/p>\n

Expessing her gratitude to Cathy, the young star told everyone in the event, “Hindi ko alam kung paano magsimula kay<\/em> Direk<\/em> Cathy kasi<\/em> (I do not know where I should start with Director Cathy because) I felt like she saved me and she (really) did talaga. Sa lahat po ng <\/em>praises na nare<\/em>-receive dito sa<\/em> movie it\u2019s because of her (The praises that this movie receives is because of her).”<\/p>\n

Daniel, of course, did not lose the opportunity to praise his girlfriend in front of the crowd.<\/p>\n

“Dinala niya talaga niya, silang dalawa ni Direk <\/em>Cathy. Nilupitan nila masyado <\/em>(She handled it all along with Director Cathy. They really did well).<\/em> So, congratulations, Val. You made it!” the actor told Kathryn.<\/p>\n

Star Cinema earlier announced on its Instagram account that ‘The Hows of Us’ earned P505,672,777.80-million to be exact.<\/p>\n

Since it was shown in cinemas, the movie has received a lot of praises from Kathryn and Daniel’s fans, their co-celebrities, and several moviegoers, with some sharing their thoughts and realizations about the film.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
